Description
A personal diary written by Charles F. Koester, with entries written for each day throughout the year of 1881. In addition to personal diary entries, this item also includes a household ledger for the year, numerous newspaper clippings, and other inserts. Major events in the lives of the Koester family from this year include the beginning of Charles's service as mayor of Marysville, as well as the birth of Charles and Sylvia's third child, Charles John Daniel, on June 9th.
